In 2018 Fergus Connolly was appointed Inspecting Architect to Grade 1 listed Christ Church Spitalfields in east London. The church was completed in 1729 to designs by Nicholas Hawksmoor, and is widely considered a masterpiece of the English Baroque. Responsibilities include monitoring fabric condition, advising the church on the multiple uses of their building, authoring quinquennial inspections and leading the design of conservation works at the church.
